Holes-louis sachar

significance
i chose this book because i read it a few years ago, but i forgot the plot, so i decided to read it again, i realized a few things i didn't see last time, i just thought that it was just 2 story lines, but it really was that the past story of Eyla yelnats, which is stanley's great great grandfather, affects stanley more than just cursing him to camp green lake, but hey, i was in 3rd grade then.
perspective
this story takes place in a modern 1990 type era, something similar to our time, time of obese kids, thievery, and homeless people, and where the innocent get sent to a juvenile camp 100 miles away from civilization, filled vwith young teenagers deciding to be bad, just like us.
evidence
this can possibly happen, exept for the curse, that might never happen, but a kid
being falsely blamed for stealing shoes and being sent a juvenile camp for 18 months, not breaking news.
connection
it doesn't inspire me to read that much, but it's telling me that i am forgetful and should reread some of the books i've read earlier again. Since i forgot it, it will be just as exciting when i read it last time.
supposition
if this took place in the time of lord of the rings, then only some of the storyline will change, instead of being accused of stealing shoes, he'll be accused of stealing excalibur, and instead of being sent to camp green lake, he'll be sent to....
MORDOR!!!
and instead of turning him into a good person, they'll turn him into a orc! And the author will replace zero with gollum or a baby dragon. And the release the curse, the orc'd Stanley would probably have to let it drink from the lava of mount. doom insted of having to drink from a spring.

HENRY AND RISBY, Beverly Cleary

SIGNIFICANCE

This book is really important to kids who have pets that get in trouble alot while every one of the kids luagh at them. I think the author is trying to say do not make fun of kids just becuase they always seem to get in trouble just becuase there pets.

PERSPECTIVE

The author of this book is Beverly Cleary who use to be my favortie author. I think the authors experences was having kids make fun of (her/him) and they probley had a pet who always gets in trouble. Also in the book henry gets a bad haircut from his dad and he also loved fishing. He made a bet with his dad that if he kept his dog risby out of trouble for a hole month that henry's dad will take henry fishing which henry love's.

EVIDENCE

This book is not really about facts and evidence trying to make a case. This was a great fiction book through which I loved.

CONNECTION

This book was probley based around this era. After this event happened it effected henry becuase everyone wanted to be henry's friend. Becuase everyone throught henry's dog risby was bad becuase he bite the trashman. But henry went fishing then his dad made him sit on the beach becuase he and risby was making everyone drop fish especially his dad's friend. So henry and risby were walking on the beach then henry saw one of the biggest fish on the beach. Henry start drowning becuase the fish was dragging henry into the ocean. Risby jumped in and saved him. Everyone loved risby and everyone wanted to be henry's friend becuase he cuaght one of the biggest fish ever heared of.

SUPPOSITION

What I think is going to happen beyond this book is Henry grows up and gets tired of risby so he forgets and leaves him. Then henry runs away and noone ever notices intill the week after.
